I work in the media industry. I spend up to 10 hours a day in close proximity to the news headlines. As a journalist, I think a lot – about the state of the world, the issues, the problems, the solutions. This section is for information (and consternation!) related to the topics and trends du jour.
Hype & Hollywood
I watch movies. I watch TV shows. My job requires me to follow popular culture and the very strange world of show business. Famous people can be fascinating. Or infuriating. This section is for the glitz, glamour, grit and grime from Tinseltown.

Reflection. Introspection. Contemplation. I do it all. I do it often. This section is my diary to the world, fuelled by the lessons of life and love. The title of each entry is borrowed from the lyrics of a song.
Janine’s Poetry
I have a notebook in my handbag. A notebook in the study. A notebook on my bedside table. Inspiration strikes at the strangest times, in the strangest places. Most often, it’s 2am on a Saturday. I like to be prepared. I enjoy a good rhyme, but most of my pieces are blank verse.
